Once your child has completed our beginner-level preschool program, they are ready to move on to the intermediate level. Our intermediate program offers a more structured and challenging curriculum for children starting at 4 years. Our Curious Twiga Preschool program at Safari Kid is focused on providing a solid educational foundation for our young students with small class sizes and individualized care and attention.

Cognitive Development: Children engage in advanced hands-on and problem-solving activities involving numeracy, patterns, and cause-and-effect relationships. We also encourage open-ended play and artistic projects that stimulate curiosity, imagination, adaptability, and creativity.
Language and Literacy Development: We integrate storytelling, phonics, language games, and read-alouds into daily activities to develop reading, writing, and critical thinking skills while expanding vocabulary in a foreign language and sign language.
Physical Development: We provide challenging activities to refine hand-muscle and hand-eye coordination. This incorporates complex indoor and outdoor active play and yoga sequences to improve strength, flexibility, coordination, and spatial awareness.
Social and Emotional Development: In a supportive environment for cooperative play, your child will learn perspective-taking and build kindness, compassion, and empathy. We’ll also help children identify and manage complex emotions.
Health and Care Development: We help facilitate discussions about emotions, teach advanced mindfulness and breathing techniques, and provide opportunities to practice independent conflict resolution through negotiation and finding win-win solutions.

The Building Blocks of Preschool Learning

Children in our preschool program will engage in Global Child TEMBO Talks, which focus on social-emotional development and social studies. Through Tumbling Tots Physical Play, they will participate in activities designed to enhance gross motor development, including yoga, breathing and stretching exercises, and mindfulness practices. Fingertips sessions will refine their fine motor skills through sensory play.

Language skills are improved with CHIRP language development and group speaking activities, which emphasize vocabulary development and oration, alongside American Sign Language and Second Language instruction. Further, Story Explorers will foster listening skills, critical thinking, logical reasoning, and creative expression. Our STREAM (science, technology, reading, engineering, arts, and math) program integrates science, technology, reading, pre-writing skills, engineering, arts, and math, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience.
