Not only is an engaging and appealing environment important for children, but ensuring their safety and well-being is our top priority at Safari Kid. Our team is dedicated to upholding high health and safety standards to help protect the staff, students, and families we serve.
We are committed to creating a nurturing and secure space where children can learn, grow, and thrive. This includes taking all necessary precautions to prevent potential risks and accidents.
Health Protocols
To ensure a healthy and safe environment for everyone, we adhere to stringent health protocols that align with current best practices and regulatory guidelines. Safari Kid Centers adhere to rigorous health standards, including:
- Sending any children or staff with a fever home and requiring them to remain home until they have been fever-free without medication for at least 24 hours.
- Visual screening of children as they enter the center for any sickness.
- Embedding frequent handwashing into our curriculum and routine for children and staff.
- Regularly disinfecting and sanitizing high-touch toys and surfaces in classrooms, bathrooms, and play areas.
- Providing continuous staff training, including First Aid and CPR certification every two years.
With your child's well-being in mind, we continuously monitor and update our health protocols to ensure they align with the latest regulatory agencies' guidelines.

A Commitment to Security & Health and Care
The Safari Kid framework prioritizes not only the physical safety of children due to the design and care of the premises, but also the safety and health of each child on a more personal level.
Along the Safari Kid WISDOM Learning Path, the “S” signifies Security – which we know must be a priority in order for children to learn. Through warm and caring relationships, consistent routines, clear rules and boundaries, positive reinforcement, and emotional support the children feel a strong sense of security in our centers. We also have added ‘Health & Care’ as an area of learning in addition to the five core domains. We have added this area so that the children can learn how to recognize their own mental health needs and attend to their inner wellness throughout their lives. We believe once this has been achieved, they can then attend to the needs of others and the environment as a whole, promoting a happy and healthy community.

Safety Measures
In addition to following strict health protocols, we have implemented various safety measures to provide a secure environment for all. Safari Kid Centers implements comprehensive safety protocols, including:
- Careful selection of furniture, toys, and equipment, e.g., furniture that will not splinter and all supplies, materials, and toys that are age-appropriate.
- Requiring background checks on all teachers and staff in our centers as conducted by the state.
- Conducting monthly emergency drills to ensure children and staff are well-prepared for emergencies.
- Regularly conducting risk assessments across the entire preschool to identify and address any potential hazards or necessary fixes or improvements.
- Monitoring the premises with cameras both outside and inside the centers.
- **Key codes allow parents to enter the lobby. Once inside, they use a touch screen for additional security measures. (**This includes most centers)
